Prezi's are a great tool if you understand and know how to work/use it. This particular tool took me a while to understand how to use it and I still didn't work out how to save it so that other people could view it. The finish product however is incredible it would make a boring topic exciting with the way it zooms in and out everywhere. However there is also a downfall about it, it can sometimes cause motion sickness. I would recommend teachers using this tool in their classroom as it is a new, fun way of presenting information.

Today I have made my very own website using weebly.com, the following link will take you to my website http://starleigh.weebly.com/.
Again this was very easy to make, by following the very simple instructions, the website provided me, my webpage was up and running.
Although there is not much up on the site at the moment it is well worth a look if you are up to it.

Wikis

The easiest way to learn about wikis is to watch the following clip from youtube! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dnL00TdmLY&feature=player_embedded

This clip is genius, anyone would understand what a wiki is by watching the clip.
Today I have finally made up my own wiki account the following link will send you right to my page, http://starleigh.wikispaces.com/. It has not got anything to exciting on it at the moment but hopefully I will begin to write some interesting things on there.

Mutiple Intelligence Result

The following picture is of my results from the Multiple Intelligence Test from the website http://www.bgfl.org/bgfl/custom/resources_ftp/client_ftp/ks1/ict/multiple_int/what.cfm. The test was very similar to the Learning Styles test and I have got basically the same results.
From this graph it shows that I will have to work on my logical, musical and visual/spatial intelligence to ensure that I am teaching to all the students in a classroom.

Learning Style

After completing the Learning Styles test from the website http://www.learning-styles-online.com/inventory/, keeping in mind that all the results were out of a score of 20, my results are as follows:
Visual 7
Social 17
Physical 12
Aural 7
Verbal 11
Solitary 12
Logical 6

I had no idea I was such a social person, that enjoyed sports, being a loner and liked to talk. My results are such a variety on the given spectrum.


The second image is my results compared to other users with the same details as myself. It was quite interesting to know how really unique, everyone is in the world.

I will have to work on my poorer results, so that I am teaching to all students in my class with different learning styles.

Hello,
I am Starleigh, I am currently a student at CQUni. I am studying to become a Secondary School teacher majoring in HPE and ENG. I am in my second year, so only two more years to go (yay).
I will be using this blog as part of a course I am doing (Managing E-Learning) to explore and reflect on the methodologies of "e-learning".
